1913 4d registered envelope sent insured to The Standard Bank, Mafeking, with a pair of 3d, a vertical strip of three 1d’s and a vertical pair of 2d, paying a 1/1d postal rate, plus the 4d registration, all cancelled KANYE. This rate would pay a 26oz letter rate, so the contents (to a bank so probably money) would have been insured, which accounts for the high postage charge.
