PERU. 1873 small mourning envelope to London with six Plate 127 1d’s, overlapping to fit on the envelope and a 1/- Plate 5, trimmed perfs, all cancelled by ‘C38’ barred numeral cancels of CALLAO. A Peru 1d is at the lower left corner cancelled LIMA 27 FEB 1873, this paying the internal postage. A CALLAO FE 28 73 dispatch cancel is on the back, on the front is a London Paid 31 MR 73 arrival c.d.s.
