1943 St Lucia - 1943 censored cover to Columbus, Ohio, with a 2½d and a 1d cancelled CASTRIES 25 MR 43. An OPENED BY EXAMINER  T.T. / 1 tape (Miller CL10) has been used to reseal the envelope. This is the only recorded use of this tape. A very rare censored cover.

1911 St Lucia - 1911 cover sent registered from Government House, Castries, to France with a 2d and 2½d paying the 2d registration fee and 2½d UPU letter rate tied by CASTRIES DE 7 11 cancels. A boxed A R handstamp is on the front of the cover, along with a blue crayon AR This is the only recorded strike of this A R handstamp (Proud type AR2) On the back are French Paquebot transit datestamps and a Dieulefit, Drome, 25 12 11 arrival cancel. It is interesting that no surcharge appears to have been levied for the AR service, possibly as it was from Government House. A very rare cover in excellent condition.

1898 St Lucia - 1898 cover sent registered to London with eight ½ds (strip of 5, strip of 3 and a single) paying the 4d registered rate, cancelled ST LUCIA L  MY 27 98. This canceller with the L was used at Laborie, a village on the south coast of St Lucia, named after Baron de Laborie, who was the French governor of St Lucia from 1784 – 1789. A Castries transit datestamp is on the back of the cover and a London 8 JU 98 arrival c.d.s. is on the front. A scarce cover from this village.
