1928 4d registered envelope to Johannesburg with a 1d stamp added cancelled LONELY MINE 8 DEC 1928. Bulawayo 8 DEC transit and Johannesburg 11 DEC 1928 arrival cancels are on the back of the cover. Some minor faults.
1960 locally addressed envelope bearing a Rhodesia and Nyasaland ½d cancelled SALISBURY ? FEB 60. The envelope was 2½d underpaid and a 2d and 3d Postage Due were affixed to pay the 5d double deficiency rate. These were cancelled SALISBURY 18 FEB 60. Fine.
1960 envelope from HARTLEY (17 OCT) to Salisbury that had no stamp affixed and was taxed 6d. This was a 'top of the pile'¯ envelope to 'African Newspapers'¯ that were underpaid and a '7'¯ in circle with total 3/4d handwritten to indicate how many letters there were and the amount due from them all. A strip of three 1/- and a 4d Postage Due were affixed to cover this charge, and were cancelled SALISBURY 18 OCT 60. A fine 'top of the pile'¯ envelope!
