1960 - 1960 envelope from HARTLEY (17 OCT) to Salisbury that had no stamp affixed and was taxed 6d. This was a top of the pile¯ envelope to African Newspapers¯ that were underpaid and a 7¯ in circle with total 3/4d handwritten to indicate how many letters there were and the amount due from them all. A strip of three 1/- and a 4d Postage Due were affixed to cover this charge, and were cancelled SALISBURY 18 OCT 60. A fine top of the pile¯ envelope!
