1913 envelope to England with the royal coat of arms embossed on the back, bearing a 1d tied by an indistinct TULAGI datestamp. On arrival in London the cover was redirected and a London AP 21 13 datestamp applied. This is part of the C. M. Woodford correspondence to A. J. Watkins, much of which refers to the stamps of the Solomon Islands. Small tear at top.

1911 mourning envelope to England bearing a top marginal 5d lightly tied by a TULAGI MY 28 1911 datestamp. Sydney and New Maldon backstamps. A scarce stamp on cover.

1943 printed Naval card from Nigata-Shi to a soldier at the 8th Naval Base Unit, Rabaul. The routing was by air from U105 at Yokosuka to U114 in Rabaul. A rare card, ex Ken Clarke collection.

1941 censored envelope to New Zealand bearing a 2d tied GIZO 27 DE 41. The envelope has No. 2 OPENED BY CENSOR tape which has been tied by a '2 PASSED BY CENSOR 976' violet handstamp. On the back of the cover is a British Solomon Islands 1d Red Cross Appeal label. The cover has been opened out for display. A very scarce item, this Red Cross appeal stamp is rarely seen.

1944 'On Active Service' envelope to Australia, posted at MUNDA, NEW GEORGIA ISLAND at APO 717 (JAN 20 1944) by Major Martin Clemens (Ex Coastwatcher at Guadalcanal) A 'PASSED FREE / OF POSTAGE' handstamp has been applied as well as a civilian oval censor strike, signed by Major Clemens. On the reverse is a Base Post Office (Sydney APO 927) 29 JAN 44 transit cancel. A very scarce cover from this Army Post Office.
1951 commercial Air Mail Letter Card to Bilua bearing a 1d cancelled GIZO 8 MR 51. A MUNDA TAX 1d handstamp is on the face of the letter and a 1d Postage Due cancelled GIZO 8 MR 51. Also on the face of the letter is a fine strike of the oval 'M. V. MALAKUNA' Bourgainville-Buka handstamp, with Bilua inserted in manuscript. The letter asks for an update on repairs to a motor! Bilua is an island in the north west of the Solomon Islands group. Fine.
1936 registered envelope to Austria franked with a ½d, 1d and 5d, paying the 6½d registered rate to a non Commonwealth country, cancelled TULAGI 10 JY 36. On the reverse are Sydney 31 JLY transit and Wien 6.IX.36 arrival cancels. Fine.
