1932 Tristan Da Cunha - 1932 unsealed envelope to Johannesburg, South Africa, with a blue Type V cancellation. A circular T/2d tax mark is on the front of the cover along with a 2d Postage Due that has been cancelled Johannesburg 19 JAN 32. A manuscript Found without contents is on the front and a boxed bilingual REFUSED handstamp has also been applied. The envelope has the crest of H.M.S. Carlisle on the backflap.

The cover has been taxed on arrival in England and a ½d and 1d Postage Due (both damaged prior to affixing) applied and cancelled FLIXTON 27 AU 29. There is also a London Paquebot 26 JU 29 datestamp on the front of the cover. This cover would have sailed on the S S Halesius, which departed Tristan Da Cunha on May 14. Fine.
