1931 envelope to Newcastle on Tyne, England, bearing a 2c and 4c tied by a TUMPAT KELANTAN 24 NO 31 datestamp. On the back are Kota Bharu, Kelantan, 24 NOV and Penang 26 NO 1931 transit cancels.
1908 1c advertising post card to Ipoh, Perak, cancelled PENANG MR 18 1908. An Ipoh 19 MR 1908 arrival cancel is on the card. The back of the card has a printed advertisement for Japanese Mineral Table Water. A most attractive advertising card.
|1833 Malaya / Singapore|
1833 entire letter to Glasgow, headed Campong Glom, Singapore 24 August 1833 inside. Various markings are on the front of the letter. The distance from Dover to Glasgow was 477 miles and the single letter rate was 1/2d. This letter was marked at 2/4d as a double letter rate. However, as it contained an enclosure it was re-rated as a treble weight at 3/6d. As this did not take into account the sea rate of 4d, a further marking of 3/10d was applied. On the back is a boxed 'INDIA LETTER / DOVER' and a Glasgow 6 JAN 1834 arrival cancel. A very early letter from Singapore.

1892 registered envelope to Singapore franked with a 5c and a pair of 2c, cancelled by 8 barred oval obliterators with a THAIPENG JY 26 92 datestamp at the lower left of the cover. A Registered handstamp, with the number '3077' inserted by hand is at the bottom of the cover. (This is the latest recorded date of use of this handstamp) On the back is a Singapore JY 30 92 arrival c.d.s. The cover has a light vertical fold at the right, well away from the stamps. A fine and rare cover.

PAHANG. 1899 envelope to New York franked with a Perak 25c, overprinted Pahang, (S.G. 20) cancelled ULU PAHANG 1 JA 99. A further strike of this canceller is in the lower left corner. On the back are Raub 5 JA, Kwala Kubu 7 JA, Kuala Lumpur 8 JA, Singapore JA 10 and New York FEB 27 1899 transit and arrival cancels. A very appealing and rare cover.

PERAK. 1937 15c registered envelope sent 'A. R.' to India, additionally franked on the back with two 10c cancelled PARIT BUNTAR 18 JU 1937. A Taifing 18 JU transit and Kallal 26 JUN 1937 arrival c.d.s. are also on the back of the cover. On the front is a Parit Buntar registration label and an A. R. handtamp.

JOHORE. 1926 registered envelope to Singapore franked with a 4c, 5c and 10c, tied by JOHORE 18 JA 26 datestamps. Boxed 'RECOMMANDE' and Registered handstamps are on the front of the cover. On the back is a Singapore18 JA 26 arrival cancel, as well as a fine wax seal of the Magistrates Office, Johore.
1932 Registered Postal Article 'A.R.' receipt for an item insured for $1314, with a SINGAPORE 26 OC 1932 datestamp. An insurance fee of $2.25 was paid for the item. Unusual and interesting.
STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. 1920 picture post card to England with a 4c cancelled RAFFLES HOTEL, SINGAPORE, 25 MY 1920.
FEDERATED STATES. 1915 registered 'A.R.' envelope to Pahang franked with a 1c and a 20c, cancelled KUALA LUMPUR 14 DE 1915. A circular 'A.R.' handstamp is on the front and a red manuscript 'Refused by addressee' and a pencil 'Rebut' has also been handwritten. On the reverse are Selemban DE 14 & DE 24, Kuala Pilah DE 15 & DE 24, Temerloh 16 DE and Kuala Lumpur 25 DE 1915 datestamps. The cover has been opened for display. A most interesting item.

THAI OCCUPATION OF KEDAH. 1944 Thai Occupation of Malaya 4c postal stationery card from Alor Star to Penang with an additional Thai Occupation of Malaya 2c added, tied by an English only Alor Star Kedah 26 JAN 44 double ring datestamp (Proud D15). The card has been twice censored with a boxed Alor Star number 7 Japanese censor marking and Ipoh number 3 Japanese censor marking in violet all on front. A very fine and extremely rare card.
1936 15c registered 'A. R.' envelope to India with two 10c stamps added to pay the 35c rate, cancelled BENTONG 31 DE 1936. A Kuala Lumpur 31 DEC transit and Kottaiyur 9 JAN arrival cancels are on the back of the envelope. On the front is a circular 'A. R.' handstamp. Fine, Pahang registered envelopes are not common.

1903 envelope to Germany endorsed "Via Negapatam" bearing a pair of QV 5c, a 32c and a pair of Edward VII 8c, cancelled Penang AP 24 03. On the reverse are Negapatam 29 AP. Sera Post Office MY 2 and Hamburg 16.5.03 transit and arrival datestamps.
