NO 25 07 datestamp is on the card. The sender left Freemantle on November 21 and the card was written and posted on board the ship on November 23. It entered the Australian postal service when it was taken off at Largs Bay on November 25. Obviously Queensland stamps were being sold on the ship! £150.00 Reference: K2340 |

A Hudson AUG 30 arrival cancel is on the front, Seattle AU 25 and New Bedford 31 AUG 09 cancels are on the back. Port Darwin was a settlement established in 1869 close to Palmerston. When the Northern Territories were established and broke away from South Australia on 1 January 1911, Palmerston changed its' name to Darwin. A scarce usage of the 3d 'long stamp' from Port Darwin, and a fine Northern Territories forerunner. £350.00 Reference: G2580 |

Kapunda is a town on the Light River and near the Barossa Valley in South Australia. It was established in 1842 after the discovery of significant copper deposits.
