1948 British Guiana - 1948 underpaid envelope sent air mail with two meter 6d stamps and LONDON 18 II 48 cancel. The air mail rate was 1/3d and a boxed T / F.S. handstamp applied with a manuscript 6d alongside. On arrival a 12c postage due was affixed and cancelled 1 MAR 48.

1902 British Guiana - 1902 proof of the embossed FOUR CENTS design in orange red on stiff paper, measuring 56 x 56mm, that was used for registered envelopes in 1902. This value and colour was used on the 1898 registered envelopes but for the 1902 issue they retained the 4c value but changed the colour to blue. A scarce proof.

(Proud D6) The written message starts N 12/6/15. The N is probably the writers abbreviation for the village of NONPAREIL which was on the railway line, five stops from Georgetown on the East Coast Railway. This village did not have a canceller.

1942 British Guiana - 1942 incoming envelope from Brazil with a red label attached at the top FOUND OPEN AND OFFICIALLY RESEALED IN THE BRITISH GUIANA POST OFFICE. This label has a postmasters signature in blue crayon and a S. O. SUPT. B. GUIANA 4 AP 42 datestamp (Proud D121) on the front and a manuscript Torn in transit on the back. The cover has a tear through the front which was sealed by a piece of stamp selvage. A very rare label, not recorded by Proud and the first I have seen.
