1903 registered envelope to Germany bearing a ½d and 4d cancelled REGISTERED GIBRALTAR 9 AP 03. A Bordeaux 13 AVRIL transit cancel is on the front of the cover, a Coln arrival c.d.s. is on the back. A small tear from opening is in the upper centre of the cover which hardly detracts.
1896 20 Centimos registered envelope to Germany with a 50 c added, cancelled with an oval REGISTERED GIBRALTAR 13 MR 96 datestamp. A Wiesbaden 19.3.96 arrival c.d.s. is on the back.
1894 'THE EASTERN TELEGRAPH COMPANY' telegram envelope to the French Consul, Mogador, franked with a pair of 5 centimos tied by a TANGIER DE 8 94 A26 duplex canceller. Some cover faults including a tear at the top and part of the backflap missing. A very uncommon item.
1846 (6th April) folded letter to Scotland with a GIBRALTAR / PAID handstamp at the right. A London boxed PAID 16 AP 1846 datestamp is on the front of the letter, on the back is an arrival 17 AP 1846 datestamp.
1864 envelope to Sweden bearing a 1/-, 4d and 1d tied by A26 barred cancels with a GIBRALTAR DE 16 64 alongside. A London DE 31 64 transit cancel is on the front and Hamburg 2.1.65 transit and Sobra St. Banan3.1.65 arrival cancels are on the back. An attractive cover to an uncommon destination.
1892 registered envelope to England franked with a 25c and a pair of 75c, cancelled Gibraltar 22 OC 92. A London 2 NOV transit cancel is on the face, and a Colchester 3 NOV 92 arrival c.d.s. is on the reverse. The 75c is a difficult stamp to find on cover.
1892 envelope to Germany bearing a top marginal bisected 50c, paying the 25c rate, cancelled by the Tangier A26 duplex of AP 12 92. A Gibraltar AP 13 92 datestamp is on the front, on the reverse are Madrid and Stadthagen transit and arrival cancels. A scarce example of a bisect used in Morocco. Holcombe Certificate.
