1883 envelope to St Kitts franked with a single 1d and a 1d with a joined bisected 1d, paying the 2½d rate, cancelled by barred 'A08' cancellers with a MONTSERRAT PAID SP 10 83 datestamp alongside. A St Kitts SP 11 83 arrival cancel is also on the front of the cover. Very rare, the majority of these bisects are seen paying the ½d book post rate and to find it used like this is rarely seen. 1914 2d registered envelope to England additionally franked with three ½d's cancelled MONTSERRAT JY 25 1914. Liverpool and Sheffield transit and arrival cancels are on the back.
1894 Leeward Islands 2½d postal stationery envelope to England cancelled by a barred 'A 08' obliterator with a MONTSERRAT MY 30 94 datestamp alongside. On the reverse is a Stevenage JU 13 94 arrival cancel.
1943 censored envelope to the USA, probably sent air mail, bearing a Leeward Islands 1½d and a Montserrat 1/- which would have paid the air mail rate, cancelled G. P. O. PLYMOUTH JY 7 43. The cover was opened by the censor and resealed with grey-blue on white OPENED BY EXAMINER A. A / 150 tape, with the censor's number inserted in pencil. (Miller type CL 3c, scarcity rating '10', and only recorded between 2 June and 17 July 1943) Fine.
1941 censored envelope to the USA bearing a 1d and 2d, cancelled 1 OC 41. The cover has been opened and resealed with censor tape (Miller CL 2a) at the left and a violet three line handstamp 'SUPPOSED TO CONTAIN MATTER / SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF / EXECUTIVE ORDER 8389 AS ….' (last word unclear) has been struck at the lower left. A very scarce cover, the censor tape being rated by Miller as '8'
1888 envelope to Leicester, England, bearing an 1885 4d mauve cancelled by a light barred A08 canceller with a MONTSERRAT SP14 88 datestamp on the front of the cover. On the back is a Leicester OC 1 88 arrival c.d.s. A small tear at the top of the cover, well away from the stamp, does not detract from this scarce item.
1909 Leeward Islands 2d size 'G' registered envelope to Austria with a 2d and a ½d added to pay the 4½d foreign letter rate, the stamps cancelled MONTSERRAT JA 28 1909. A registration label with the number '112' inserted in manuscript is on the front of the cover. Fine.
1895 1d post card to Germany cancelled by the barred numeral 'A03' of Montserrat with an OC 30 95 datestamp alongside. A London NO 14 transit cancel is on the face and an arrival cancellation of 15.11.95. Fine.
1904 2d size G registered envelope to London with an additional 1d added cancelled MONTSERRAT OC 19 1904. London 3 NO 04 arrival cancels are also on the front of the envelope. Fine.
