1821 folded letter to France, written from Kingston and dated 8th January 1821. A manuscript 3/4' rate is on the front of the letter along with a fine strike of the rare circular JAMAICA PAID JA 9 821 datestamp. (Proud PD4 – value x 4,000) At the lower right is a red tombstone 'PAID 3 MR', applied at London, and a straight line 'Angleterre'. A very rare item in fine condition.
