1843 small 'ladies' envelope to Berkshire, franked with a fine 4 margined 1d red, Plate 30, State 2, lettered 'E D' neatly tied with a Maltese Cross canceller. On the reverse is a LLANGOLLEN JY 25 1843 (Denbyshire) datestamp and a red 26 JY 1843 receiving c.d.s. A most appealing cover from this repaired plate, from which 17 stamps were re-entered.
