1857 envelope (opened out for display) to England, endorsed Pr R.M.S. Celt, with a good strike of the red 1d handstamp on the front. This was the payment to the Union Steam Ship Co. On the back are Cape Town DE 30 1857, Cape Packet Davenport FE 6 1858 and Sheffield FE 8 58 transit and arrival cancels. This was the first sailing of the 'Celt' on this contract. Fine.
