1868 envelope to England, endorsed 'Officer's Letter from W.W.W. Poole, Staff Surgn. Major' and countersigned by his commanding officer at the lower left franked with a 6d tied by a '1' in 'boot-heel' canceller. On the reverse are BARBADOS DE 10 68 and CHATHAM DE 28 68 datestamps. A few small repairs to the envelope at the top edge that do not detract from its' fine appearance.
