1879 envelope to England endorsed at the top 'From Capt. Cramer, On active service in Zululand. No stamps available'. The cover passed through Port Dunford without stamps but on arrival in Durban a 6d has been applied and cancelled 10/5/79. London and Ryde JU 13 79 cancels are on the back of the cover. Captain Cramer was present at both Gingindlovu and Eshowe during the War. A very fine cover from this conflict.
