1895 envelope to Lyon, France, bearing two single 1d's and a bisected 1d olive-green (SG 32, 32a) paying the 2½d rate, tied by a boxed 'PACKET-BOAT' handstamp. On the back of the cover are Auckland 2 DE 95 and partial Colombo and Lyon transit and arrival cancels. Addressed to 'Reverend Pere Hervier, Procureur des Missions,' this was probably written by a missionary in Tonga. A rare commercial cover. 1983 B.P.A. certificate.
