1897 2c envelope to Cincinnati from Howell, Michigan, that was in a mail robbery on March 18th. A five line violet cachet 'This letter was in a pouch, stolen / and rifled at Delray Junction Thurs- / day night, March 18th '97. / E. PARSELL, P. O. INSPECTOR.' Delray Junction is on the south west side of Detroit, Michigan. A rare cover from this incident, only the second I have seen.
