1899 5pf postal card to Detmold, Germany, with a superb strike of the exceedingly rare violet two line RAMANSDRIFT 28. 9. 99 / DEUTSCH-SUDWESTAFRICA canceller. Two strikes of Steinkopf, Cape Colony, OC 2 99 datestamps are on the front of the card, along with a Detmold 2.11.99 arrival c.d.s. This card comes from a known correspondence and a card from WARMBAD, posted to the same addressee a few days later, accompanies this card. One of the rarest of all German South West Africa cancellations. It has a 2013 B.P.A. Certificate .
