1905 2d registered envelope to London bearing two 1d's, one cancelled OBUBRA HILL 27 NO 05 (the 27 NO inverted and reversed) The other 1d has been cancelled Registered Calabar DE 8 05. On the back are Calabar DE 5 05 and London JA 3 06 datestamps. It would appear as though the cover was held at Calabar possibly awaiting the payment of the extra 1d. Obubra Hill is a village in the south eastern part of Nigeria. A good strike of this very scarce and seldom seen cancellation.
