Ref: K2138
  • £450.00

1907 incoming envelope from Canterbury, England to Tenom, franked with a 1d cancelled Canterbury JA 28 07. Addressed to the Sapong Estate, which was the largest rubber plantation in Borneo at that time, it has a Jesselton 8 MAR 07 transit cancel on the back. The addressee had returned to England and the letter was put back in the post and received a TENOM 16 MAR 07 datestamp. A further Jesselton 25 MAR 07 transit cancel is on the back of the cover. It was sent back to the Sapong Offices in London who then again re-addressed it to Witham, Essex. A well travelled cover and a rare incoming item to Tenom.
