1908 registered envelope to Holland bearing an Orange River Colony ½d and an O.F.S. 6d overprinted V.R.I. with the Thick 'V' variety, cancelled PHILIPPOLIS 29 FEB 08. A Philipollis Registration label is at the upper left (scarce) and on the back are London 21 MR and Wageningen 22 MR 08 transit and arrival cancels. The thick 'V' variety is very scarce, particularly on cover, catalogued as a used stamp at £450 by Stanley Gibbons.
