1918 printed Sidi-Bashr Post Card sent to Ranileh, Egypt, with a boxed 'ALIENS / INTERNMENT CAMP / SIDI BISHR * ALEXANDRIA' cachet. An oval PASSED BY CENSOR No. 13 cachet is on the front of the card along with an arrival c.d.s. of 10 JAN 18. The Sidi Bishr Camp opened in January 1917 and internees from the Ras-El-Tin camp were transferred there. These were later joined by P.O.W.'s from German East Africa and Palestine. This card was written by P.O.W. No. 620.
