1923 taxed envelope to Shanghai, China, and then readdressed and sent to Yokohama, Japan. Franked with a 12c cancelled KUCHING 28 MAR 1923. The letter must have exceeded a ½ oz as it has a 'T' tax handstamp (Proud UP3) applied in Kuching. The rate to China was 10c for the first ½ oz and 6c for each additional ½ oz. On the back are Hong Kong 6 APL, Shanghai 9 APR and Yokohama APR 16 23 transit and arrival cancels. A little roughly opened at the top, but a scarce taxed and redirected cover to an uncommon destination.
