RAILWAY STRIKE MAIL AIR MAIL. 1929 envelope to Bulawayo bearing a 2d cancelled NDOLA 15 FEB 29 that was carried by the R.A.F. during the railway strike on the Copperbelt.. This R.A.F. Plane left Cairo on February 12th on the annual Cairo to Cape Town flight. It arrived at Ndola on February 25 where it picked up the mail. From there it went to Livingstone (Feb 27) and arrived in Bulawayo on February 28. All the covers known (11) are addressed to Duly & Co in Bulawayo. All are crumpled as they were rescued from a waste paper basket. An extremely rare cover and one of very few that has 'R.A.F.' written on the back in ink.
