1942 underpaid triple censored picture post card to Ireland, from an American soldier based at the American Base there. A US 1c stamp has been cancelled by an AMERICAN BASE FORCES A.P.O. 802, JAN 16 1942 canceller. A circular 'T / N.Y' handstamp was applied for the underpayment, but it does not appear as though any tax was collected. The card has been censored by a boxed 'PASSED / U 313 S / ARMY EXAMINER' cachet as well as a hexagonal Bermuda cachet with crown at the top (the PASSED and “P...' is indecipherable) and an Irish boxed bilingual censor cachet. A very scarce triple censored card from Bermuda.
