1942 incoming envelope from Brazil with a red label attached at the top 'FOUND OPEN AND OFFICIALLY RESEALED IN THE BRITISH GUIANA POST OFFICE.' This label has a postmasters signature in blue crayon and a S. O. SUPT. B. GUIANA 4 AP 42 datestamp (Proud D121) on the front and a manuscript 'Torn in transit' on the back. The cover has a tear through the front which was sealed by a piece of stamp selvage. A very rare label, not recorded by Proud and the first I have seen.
