1943 censored envelope to Cyprus franked with three 5 Mils machine cancels with a JERUSALEM datestamp at the upper left. The cover was opened and resealed by the censor with tape at the left. It arrived at Nicosia on 30 June and Famagusta 1 July. The envelope was then sent back to Palestine with a 2p stamp affixed to the front over the original address and cancelled FAMAGUSTA 9 JUL 43. It was resealed again with more tape added at the left, so presumably censored again. A very fine and unusual returned cover.
