1949 envelope sent air mail to Glasgow with a U.P.U. 10c and a $1 cancelled JESSELTON 23 OCT 49. On the back of the cover is a label reading 'RECOVERED FROM STOLEN MAIL FOR / SINGAPORE ON 23rd OCTOBER, 1949.' This has been tied by a JESSELTON 21 NOV 49 datestamp. Other than what the label states, little is known about this robbery. A very rare cover with less than 4 covers known with this label.
