1930 WARREN OHIO. On September 21 1930, the National Air Transport Boeing 95 engine failed in-flight and the pilot attempted to make an emergency landing but hit a telephone pole. The aircraft was destroyed on impact and the pilot was injured. Recovered mail received various cachets. This violet two line cachet in capital letters reads ‘DAMAGED IN PLANE FIRE / AT WARREN OHIO. 9-21-30’
