1907 unused picture post card of the S. Y. Nimrod in Floe Ice, the ship that was used by Shackleton on the 1907 – 1909 British Antarctic Expedition to King Edward VII Land. This is one of a series of cards used for advertising by Plasmon Biscuits who supplied biscuits and chocolate to the expedition. On Christmas Day Shackleton wrote "Had a hot lunch. I was cook: – Bovril, chocolate and plasmon biscuit, two spoonful’s of jam each. Grand!". Fine (Wharton GI 7)
