1940 censored cover sent air mail to San Francisco, U.S.A. endorsed ‘ Via Trans Pacific Clipper’ with Bahrain overprinted 3As 6Ps, two 4As and a 2Rs, tied by BAHRAIN PERSIAN GULF 10 NO 40 cancels. The cover was censored in Bahrain with a violet boxed ‘PASSED BY CENSOR / BAHRAIN’ cachet on the back. It transited through Hong Kong an has a Victoria 22 NO 40 cancel on the back. It was also censored there with a blue triangular ‘PASSED CENSOR ‘20’ HONG KONG’ applied to the front of the cover. A very fine and desirable cover.
