1929 South Africa ½d postal card to Morija written in Sotho and cancelled THABANA MORENA 14 FE 29. Thabana Morena was a small village in the south western part of Basutoland. Translated the message says “I received your letter on 09/2, and the answer is that, it was cash, I can't remember well the piece 2/6- if it is lost I will end up paying for it because I'm guilty in those matters. Peace” (Khotso) A very unusual card written in Sotho from this village. Cancels from there are very uncommon.
