MOUNT LAVINIA. 1901 censored cover from the Free State to Diyatalawa Camp, redirected on arrival to Mount Lavinia. A 1d cancelled ZASTRON SP 23 01 is on the front of the cover along with a triangular censor h/s. The cover was also resealed with a British Censor Seal Type 26. Colombo NO 12 and Diyatalawa NO 13 01 transit cancels are on the back. A manuscript Mt Lavinia forwarding is at the left of the cover.A convalescent camp was opened at Mount Lavinia, about 7 miles from Colombo on the sea coast.
