RUSTENBURG. 1900 censored cover to Pretoria franked with a Transvaal 1d overprinted V.R. and cancelled RUSTENBURG 24 JUNE 1900. Z. A. R. censor tape was affixed on its’ arrival in Pretoria, that has a handwritten O.H.M.S. on the back of the tape. Censoring in Rustenburg only started on June 27th. A Pretoria arrival cancel is on the back. Sunday June 24 was the first day that mail was sent from Rustenburg using the V.R. overprinted stamps. A very rare cover used on the first day and one of only 26 commercial covers recorded with the V.R. stamps.
