1900 censored cover from the Free State to a P.O.W. in Diyatalawa Camp, Ceylon, that has the rare white Type 9 white censor tape V. R. / Opened Under Martial Law, that was applied on arrival at Diyatalawa Camp. This censor seal was only in use for a little over a month. On the front of the cover is a Diyatlawa Passed Censor cachet, on the back are Bloemfontein, Durban NO 20, Colombo DE 25 and Diyatalawa 26 DE 00 transit and arrival cancels. Minor cover faults (as expected) but a rare cover with this seal.
