1918 censored Prisoner of War cover to Constantinople, Turkey, sent by prisoner 5677 with a pink CENSORSHIP STAMP / PASSED BY 20 SEP 1918 / P. O. W / THAYETMYO cachet on the front. This camp, on the Irrawaddy River 180 miles north of Rangoon opened in January 1916. Mail from there is uncommon. This cover arrived in Turkey on 29 January 1919.
