1859 double rate entire to London, endorsed ‘Via Marseilles’ with an imperf. 1/- slate-violet (SG 10) with large margins all round and showing part of the adjoining stamp at the top, lightly tied bay a barred obliterator. COLOMBO PAID AU 30 1859 and London SP 27 59 dispatch and arrival cancels are on the back. A very fine double rate cover.
