1922 cover sent registered from Nairobi to Bombay, but redirected to Kilpauk on arrival, with a 15c and 10c tied by a NAIROBI REGISTERED MY 29 22 oval cancel. A Kilpauk 22 JU 22 arrival cancel is on the back. The rate for a registered cover to India was 35c but with the change of currency in 1922, 10c stamps were used for a short while as 20c by the postal authorities pending the arrival of new stock. Hence the 25c instead of the 35c actually pre-paid. A very interesting and unusual cover.
