CHINESE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. 1912 picture post card (Great Wall of China) addressed to CAMEROON German South West Africa with a Chinese 2c cancelled TIENTSIN 5 SEP 12. An oval h/s ‘W Cooke, British Military Hospital, Tientsin is on the cover, presumably the sender, and Tientsin 5 SEP, Shanghai 10 DE, French 11.10 12. and Nyanga, Kamerun, 21 11 12 transit cancels. A fabulous card that went from the British to French post offices in China and then into the German post on arrival. Probably the only known item from the Chinese Expedition to Cameroon!!
