1840 (MAY 7th) Mulready letter sheet to COCKERMOUTH, CUMBRIA, with a fine, crisp Maltese Cross cancel. On the reverse is a MANCHESTER MY 7 1840 dispatch cancel. A few minor faults but a rare early date, illustrated and detailed in MAY DATES by Jackson (S.G. £2200) Displays well.
