POSTAL INCIDENT. 1953 cover to England with a 6d cancelled F.P.O. 963 NO 11 53 that, on the back, has a violet boxed ‘MISLAID MAIL / DELAY REGRETTED’ cachet and a label stating ‘It is regretted that this letter has been delayed abroad.’ A Home Postal Depot R. E. 17 NO 53 cancel is on the label. This boxed cachet was unknown until this letter turned up. A most interesting and very scarce item.
