1911 brown ‘FIRST U.K. AERIAL POST envelope to South Africa with a 1d cancelled by the special datestamp of SP 12 1911. A Cape Town OC 10 11 arrival c.d.s. is on the back. The envelope also has the unused insert with rates and instructions, both of which are from the EMERGENCY PRINTING after the original printing of envelopes ran out. Addressed to Stuttafords in Cape Town, this was a large company and the contents could well have been commercial as there is no persons’ name in the address. Fine and a very rare destination.
