1880 cover to Durban, Natal, with a 4d that has a Type 17 ‘G’ overprint, tied by a KIMBERLY 11 AUG 1880 cancel. A Durban 17. 8. 1880 receiving datestamp is on the back. In October 1880 Griqualand West became part of the Cape of Good Hope so this was a late usage of their stamps. Natal is very seldom seen as a destination for mail from Griqualand West.
