1878 mourning cover to Chelmsford, England, with a pair of 1d’s and a 4d, correctly paying the 6d rate, the stamps overprinted with a Type 15 ‘G’ (SG 16 & 20) and cancelled KIMBERLEY JU 25 1878. A Cape Town JY 2 transit cancel is on the front of the cover, on the back is a Chelmsford 27 JU 78 arrival c.d.s. A scarce combination franking cover. B.P.A. certificate.
