c1875 wrapper headed ‘Printed Circular, Hankow’, to San Francisco with an 1863 2c brown tied by an ‘S I’ cancel. The Treaty Port of Hankow is 600 miles up the Yangtse River and mail went by boat to Shanghai from there. This wrapper appears to have been cancelled on arrival in Shanghai before leaving for the USA. Fine and uncommon.
