1858 envelope to London endorsed ‘via Southampton’ and ‘Prepaid’ with a superb red crown circle PAID AT HONG KONG h/s. A red London Paid MY 21 58 is also on the front of the cover along with a red manuscript ‘6’ that prepaid the ½ oz rate to England on a British Packet. On the back is a HONG KONG 29 MR 1858 datestamp. A very fine and attractive cover that was on the ‘Cadiz’ to Galle, arriving 15 April, then the ‘Bengal’ to Suez 5 May and finally on the ‘Indus’ to Southampton where it arrived on May 20th.
