CHINESE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. 1901 telegram envelope to Tientsin with an India ½A tied by a F.P.O. No. 15 / AP 00 01 datestamp. A ½c overprinted B.R.A. Five Cents (British Railway Association) stamp is also on the front of the cover, cancelled RAILWAY POST OFFICE TONGKU in violet. On the back is a Base Post Office B 20 AP 01 cancel. The 5c B.R.A. stamp paid the Late Fee for letters handed in at the station. It was only in use for a month (20 April to 20 May 1901) before being withdrawn. An exceptionally rare item.
