JAMMU & KASHMIR. 1890 India ½a postal stationery envelope to London from Kashmir, with a ½a (SG 147) on the front and another on the back along with an India 4a, the stamps on the front of the cover cancelled KASHMIR 8 APR 90, those on the back cancelled with an ‘L’ in bars. The two Jammu & Kashmir stamps pay the states rate for mail to foreign destinations. On arrival in London it was redirected to Edinburgh and then Dunbar. A scarce cover.
