JAPANESE OCCUPATION OF ANDAMAN ISLANDS. 1944 (?) censored Navy post card from Shikao Kobayashi to his elder sister in Osaka City sent from PORT BLAIR, ANDAMAN ISLANDS dated November 10 on the front. An ‘I11’ marking means it was from Port Blair and an ‘I32’ marking meant 12th Special Base Force (that served in Port Blair). He says: “It may be colder in the morning and in the evening in Japan. How are you? Does Takeshi go to school in good health every day? I suppose that Keiko is getting bigger and she must be pretty. I’m very fine and engaged in military serving. Please don’t worry about me. There is no strange news to inform you here. Please inform me about strange news. Please give me information of your husband. Please take care of your health. I’m trying to be in good health.” A very scarce card from the Andaman Islands which the Japanese occupied on 23rd March 1942.
